Fireworks in a Jar

Fireworks in a Jar
 What you Need:

  • Oil
  • Small bowl
  • Large clear container
  • Water
  • Food Coloring

What you do:

  1. Pour oil in bowl and add a few drop of food coloring (The amount show above is too much and made the water dark, instead of clear enough to see the fireworks.)

2.  Fill up large container with cold water. When I used warm water the food coloring colored the water too fast.
 3.  Slowly pour oil onto water.

 4.  Watch as the little colored bubbles in the oil pop and make fascinating "fireworks" in the water.

Sebastian really loved watching them and he felt like he was winning at a game every time he caught one popping.
