Girl Scout Copycat Recipe: Tag-alongs

These taste like the Tag-along Girl Scout Cookies and use Ritz crackers to give it that cookie crunch.

What you need:

  • 2 Cups of Chocolate Chips
  • Whole Wheat Ritz Crackers
  • Peanut Butter (try honey, crunchy, creamy, or almond butter)
  • 2 tsp of Crisco or Coconut oil
  • Tin foil, wax, or parchment paper

 What you do:

  1. Make little peanut butter cracker sandwiches using as much or as little peanut butter as you want.
  2. Using a double boiler, or a small metal mixing bowl over a pot of boiling water, melt chocolate chips and Crisco or coconut oil, stir to get it smooth
  3. Dip, dunk, flip the sandwiches in the chocolate. I used a spatula to scrap any excess.
  4. Lay out on pan using tin foil, wax, paper, or parchment paper.
  5. Freeze or keep in refrigerator to cool them off faster.

The toddlers learned to dip the leftover crackers in chocolate, but then decided that it was easier to dip their fingers in chocolate.

This activity with the toddlers was one of the messiest, but you can reward yourself with an amazing treat after.
